and What WE are doing

How do we do this?

  • Tackling poverty from its grassroots rather than for its consequences to assure independent and lasting change.
  • Building capacity through infant and adult education and skills training oriented to jobs in demand at the local market.
  • Promoting self-confidence and empowerment that lead the marginalized to active participation in their community issues.
  • Encouraging dialogue between the community stakeholders including beneficiaries, donors, authorities, other organizations and mass media.
  • Raising awareness, promoting informed opinions and debates, and engaging the non-poor to become an active part of the solution and to collaborate in doing so.
  • Protecting in a cross-cutting manner the respect for the individual without regard to gender, ethnicity, caste, age or religion.
  • Inspiring a shift in attitudes and beliefs towards a community free from violence and discrimination.
  • Researching, planning, monitoring, analyzing and correcting our programs to deliver the best results we can.
This three years have been full of experiences and success stories and little by little we see the green shoots growing. Help us to keep pace.

“ Women Empowerment Program Inauguration” in Jharkhand
Thanks to you all, we´ve made it!! We have successfully inaugurated our Women Empowerment Program in Jharkhand!! Through this six months vocational training in sewing and embroidery, our students will become self-reliant, employable and active members and leaders of their community. Our goal is for them themselves to start a training chain to exponentially expand the campaign’ s reach and the power of change among the L&TW Women´s Association and, by extension, among the whole community.

The more women acquire livelihoods, the more children will be free of hunger and able to break the cycle of poverty. Change starts with one Empowered Woman.

Be part of the solution.

Help us to extend the Program to our Dehradun Center making a donation now.
